Joni Parker-Roach, Groton, MA, became intrigued with tapestry weaving several years ago. Combining patterns in nature, colors and mandalas she creates tapestries that are not just aesthetically pleasing but that have an energetic balancing, meditative, and healing effect on the spaces in which they hang.

The East Coast venue for the event was in the third floor ballroom of Patrick and Joni Parker- Roach's 200 year old home in Groton Center, Massachusetts.

Jeremy Seligman is an experienced Information Technology executive with a track record in building strong communities of work and creating environments where individuals can reach their full potential. As Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Frontier Corporation, a Fortune 500 company - acquired by Global Crossing, he instilled a passion for learning, growth and meaningful work within his organization. Of particular note was his establishment of stability in a turbulent environment, reducing employee attrition by more than 80%, and leading the organization through a number of significant milestones.
Seligman is a two-time graduate of the University of Rochester, with a degree in Education and an MBA in Finance and Economics. He lives in Rochester, New York with his family, and is an avid musician, playing the flute professionally for many years. He has also been practicing yoga and meditation for over 25 years.

Building on the success of the youth-oriented program during the SoL Global Forum 2003 , members of the SoL Youth and Education Network (YEN) will lead this workshop. It is intended for youth (ages 13+) and their teachers/parents/mentors/coaches who want to work together to learn and develop powerful leadership concepts and practices enabling youth to make a difference in their lives, families, schools, and communities.
Attendees will be exposed to the disciplines of organizational learning—systems thinking, mental models, team learning, shared vision, and personal mastery—in this experiential and fun workshop. On Tuesday, June 28, participants will also have the opportunity to attend two of the keynote sessions of the Seventh Annual Meeting of SoL, which is being held concurrently in the same hotel. A major component of the workshop will be the active practice of the five disciplines through the completion of a special project. Participants will also investigate ways in which they can apply the workshop experience in co-creating an ongoing community of learners. Tentative Agenda
Register now by using the faxable registration form  or RSVP  to us if you are likely/ unlikely to register participants from your family/ community, or if you are not yet sure. The registration fee is $450 per person plus travel and accommodations . Spaces are limited to youth and their teachers/parents/mentors/coaches. The fee includes materials, all sessions, roundtrip to Thompson Island , plus: dinners on Monday and Tuesday, lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday, and continental breakfast and breaks Tuesday through Thursday.
The Youth Leadership Workshop was developed by SoL members Patrick Parker-Roach, Louann Reilly, Carolyn Hendrickson and Micah Fierstein. The material has been tailored specifically for youth and has been delivered in traditional educational settings, inner city community-  based environments and at the Society for Organizational Learning’s 2003 Global Forum in Helsinki, Finland.
This workshop will be facilitated by SoL members Patrick Parker-Roach, Louann Reilly and other special guests.
